Set up useful video

A phone is often enough. Position it so the movement being reviewed is visible and the perspective is reasonably consistent across attempts. For starts, show the pads, hips and first contacts. For footwork, prioritize the lower body and targets. For trajectory, a wider angle can be more useful than close detail.

What to inspect frame by frame

Look at when the eyes leave one target, where the hips are when a hand or foot lands, whether the body keeps moving or settles, and where a successful run first begins to differ from a failed one. When a visible error appears, rewind at least one complete movement before diagnosing it.

Whole-route time is the ultimate result but can hide local changes. Compare consistent section landmarks or frame counts between the same events.
