The most valuable training equipment is the equipment that improves the actual task: access to a standardized route, reliable timing, safe auto belay and simple video can be more informative than a large collection of specialized gadgets.
Priority 1: the route
If competition Speed is the goal, access to a regulation or high-quality standardized route is the most specific training resource. It allows real beta, section timing and transfer.
Priority 2: timing and splits
Reliable timing makes experiments measurable. Full-route time is useful, but section or start timing can reveal whether a technical change actually saves time.
Priority 3: video
A phone or camera placed consistently can expose foot errors, hip path and contact timing. Expensive motion capture is not required for useful coaching feedback.
General strength and power tools
Weights, pull-up equipment, jump-testing tools and other conditioning equipment can support physical development. They should solve identified needs rather than become the center of a supposedly Speed-specific program.
Avoid equipment collecting
More tools do not create a better program. A standardized wall, stopwatch-quality timing, video and a thoughtful training plan can outperform a room full of devices that are never tied back to route performance.
